Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required or strongly preferred.
• CPA or CPA-track is desirable for the role and client work.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with small-business accounting practices.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and Excel is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of clients including GL, reconciliations and reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; ensure GAAP compliance.
• Oversee outsourced accounting engagements and mentor junior staff on bookkeeping and closing activities.
• Support client tax preparation, projections, and year-end planning with leadership.
• Provide cash flow insights, budgeting, and cost-control guidance for professional service clients.
• Assist in process improvements and cloud-based accounting tool optimizations (QuickBooks, etc.).
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive financial consultation.
