Synergy Search is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a not-for-profit school in Middle Tennessee. The role focuses on endowment and fund accounting within a small, mission-driven educational environment, offering direct impact and close mentorship from experienced financial leadership.

You will manage day-to-day nonprofit accounting, track restricted funds, ensure accuracy of records, and support endowment reporting while communicating clearly with families on billing matters.

Formación

• Not-for-profit accounting experience required, including endowment accounting and fund tracking (restricted/temporarily restricted/unrestricted).
• Experience with managing or overseeing school or educational institution accounting is preferred.
• Proven accuracy with minimal recurring errors in financial records.

Responsabilidades

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions for a not-for-profit educational institution.
• Track and reconcile restricted, temporarily restricted, and unrestricted funds.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records with thorough review prior to submission.
• Support endowment accounting and reporting.
• Communicate professionally with families on billing and payment matters, maintaining firmness and courtesy.
