Specialty1 Partners is seeking a diligent Sr. Accountant to join our Houston-based team. The role focuses on complex accounting activities, GAAP compliance, and supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings for a multi-entity dental organization.

The Sr. Accountant will prepare journal entries, manage reconciliations, assist audits, and analyze financial data to support business decisions, with collaboration across departments to ensure accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA track preferred.
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare, dental, or multi-entity organization.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations for multiple entities.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and deadlines.
• Own designated balance sheet accounts and investigate reconciling items.
• Analyze financial data and variances to provide management insights.
• Prepare intercompany transactions, allocations, eliminations, and reconciliations across entities.
• Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and ASC 842 lease accounting.
• Maintain internal controls and document accounting processes.
