Job summary

CFS in Washington, PA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role emphasizes a strong general ledger background while expanding expertise in inventory and cost accounting.

You will contribute to month-end close, financial reporting, and inventory analysis and will partner with cross-functional teams in a hands-on environment within a growing manufacturing organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong general ledger accounting and month-end close experience.
• Inventory accounting experience preferred.
• ERP experience with Deacom, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Support inventory accounting and help ensure inventory accuracy through analysis and cycle count reviews.
• Partner with Operations to analyze manufacturing costs, inventory activity, and variances.
• Assist with product costing, standard costing, and new product introductions.
• Help improve costing processes, documentation, and reporting.
• Participate in annual budgeting and standard cost development.
• Provide financial analysis and operational reporting to support business decisions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
