Hunt Forest Products is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial operations across Hunt Forest Products, LaSalle Lumber Company, and Bienville Lumber Company. The role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and continuous process improvement within a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will perform budgets, forecasts, and weekly statements, while managing month-end close for mill locations and providing P&L insights to mill managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with accounting experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365/Office and financial software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be located within daily commuting distance of Ruston, LA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, weekly financial statements, and board decks.
• Manage month-end and year-end close for mill locations.
• Provide analysis of utilities, supply, and expenses to Operations.
• Support mill managers with P&L reviews.
• Assist with audits, tax data requests, and tax compliance.
• Review and update LIMS data and reconcile inventories.
