Job summary

MacLean‑Fogg is seeking a Senior Accountant to support manufacturing operations in Menomonee Falls and Whitewater, Wisconsin. You will lead core accounting activities, partner with plant leadership, and contribute to financial reporting, cost accounting, and internal controls.

This onsite, full‑time role reports to the Controller. The role offers exposure to month‑end close, journal entries, budgeting, and variance analysis, using Excel, Power BI, and JD Edwards to drive insights and impact

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Three or more years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, GL, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, or related financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel, Power BI, JD Edwards or comparable ERP.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closes in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Maintain the general ledger and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and analyses for leadership.
• Explain financial results to plant managers and operations leaders.
• Support cost accounting, product costing, inventory valuation, and variances.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and monthly budget-to-actual analyses.
• Support physical counts and internal controls across inventory.
• Assist audits with analyses, schedules, and documentation.
• Analyze data using Excel, Power BI to improve reporting and decisions.
• Identify improvements to accounting processes and ERP workflows.
