Job summary

Brown Jordan is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead day-to-day finance activities within our Florida-based team, coordinating with the Accounting Director. The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, ERP experience, and leadership to support month-end close, budgeting, and treasury reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in accounting (CPA preferred) with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or consumer goods, and is comfortable with travel to North Carolina and occasional Saint

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and cost control principles.
• Manufacturing or consumer goods experience a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel to North Carolina (6-12x/yr) and Saint Augustine office (1-2x/yr).

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close process for the business unit, including journal entries and consolidation.
• Perform variance analysis and assist with P&L reviews.
• Collaborate with finance leads on GL setups and reporting needs.
• Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
• Generate treasury reports for senior management.
• Organize information for independent auditors.
• Ensure GAAP compliance across accounting processes.
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations and data integrity.
