Job summary

Anchor Glass Container LLC, based in Tampa, seeks a Senior Accountant to support corporate accounting and reporting. You will work closely with the Assistant Corporate Controller to prepare financial information for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes, interacting with plant accounting, IT, purchasing, and sales.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, proficiency with Excel and MS Office, and 8+ years of accounting experience; JD Edwards and Hyperion experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 8+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with JD Edwards and Hyperion is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong Excel and reporting/database experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and posts complex journal entries with GAAP alignment.
• Generates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and year-end close reports.
• Maintains month-end close controls and coordinates with FP&A and audits.
• Mentors team members and leads cross-functional projects to improve processes.
• Supports budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as needed.
