ebs Recruiters seeks a Senior Accountant to join a growing accounting team in a newly created role designed to support continued business growth and enhance accounting operations.

This role will own key month-end close activities, mentor junior staff, and partner with leadership to identify process improvements and efficiencies, with visibility across the organization and potential path into accounting leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience; CPA holders considered.
• GAAP and financial reporting expertise essential.
• ERP systems experience plus advanced Excel skills.
• Strong leadership potential and ability to mentor staff.

Responsabilités

• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review balance sheet and income statement variances and provide analysis.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of general ledger and records.
• Partner with departments to provide financial support and insights.
• Coordinate external audits and respond to auditor requests.
• Support federal/state tax compliance documentation and processes.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and ERP templates.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and drive process improvements.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes and strengthen controls.
