Job summary

The City of Phoenix's Finance Department is seeking an Accountant III - Financial Reporting to perform advanced GAAP accounting with a focus on financial reporting for governmental and enterprise funds.

Collaborate with external consultants, ensure timely reporting, and support the City’s financial statements. May work remotely up to 3 days weekly; in-office presence required on other days. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities within the City Finance team.

Qualifications

• Four years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or public administration.
• Ability to use SAP and review journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for governmental and enterprise funds.
• Assist in ACFR preparation and annual reports.
• Prepare and review journal entries and payment controls.
