Job summary

GKN Aerospace is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. You will perform IFRS-based accounting activities, contribute to monthly close, forecasting, budgeting, journal entries, and account analysis in a manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate on financial reporting, tax packages, and regulatory filings while supporting system enhancements and internal controls. Strong Excel skills and IFRS knowledge are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent, required
• 3+ years of progressive experience in the accounting field, including experience in a manufacturing industry, required
• 3+ years of intermediate-to-advanced experience with MS Excel required, including functions such as pivot, v-lookups, and formulas

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly financial close process and ensure costs are recorded; prepare journal entries and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial statements/forecasts and assist with management reports and schedules
• Assist with audits and regulatory filings; contribute to internal control improvements
• Support system enhancements and automation of reporting processes
• Forecast and monitor cash, maintain fixed assets ledger and depreciation schedules
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and corporate policies
