Stratos Wealth Partners is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance team, driving core accounting functions, month-end close, and financial reporting to support growth. The role emphasizes accuracy, internal controls, and operational excellence.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 5+ years in general ledger and financial reporting, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and practical application in business.
• Experience supporting SOX controls and documentation.
• Advanced Excel skills and data validation.

Responsabilités

• Perform broad general accounting functions including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Execute month-end close in a timely, organized manner.
• Ensure GAAP adherence and document internal controls and procedures.
• Support SOX compliance through process documentation and controls.
• Analyze and refine financial data for management reporting.
• Develop ledger knowledge and support reporting tools.
• Act as backup for key accounting functions and ensure continuity.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve workflows and scalability.
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed.
