The Heartland Roadshow is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. In this role, you’ll maintain financial records, manage balance sheet functions, and support financial reporting.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in accounting, 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, CPA, and advanced Excel skills. This position offers a hybrid schedule with one on-site day per week at Oak Brook, IL and opportunities to influence internal controls and revenue recognition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• At least 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Strong Excel and ERP system proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own the balance sheet reconciliation process.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries.
• Analyze variances and investigate discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts receivable and monitor outstanding balances.
• Assist with revenue recognition and data analysis.
• Support preparation of financial statements and audits.
• Ensure US GAAP compliance and strengthen internal controls.
• Identify workflow efficiencies and update procedures.
• Resolve customer payment issues.
