Job summary

HEICO Corporation is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Flight Support Group based in Hollywood, Florida. You will support consolidated financial statements, prepare top-side journal entries, and assist with intercompany reconciliations and year-end closings.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience, with strong Excel skills and a detail-oriented, team-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 2–4 years of progressive experience in financial accounting (public and/or industry).
• Strong general ledger experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of intercompany transactions, financial consolidation of multiple subsidiaries, and foreign exchange accounting is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with subsidiary controllers and senior management.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills; ability to manipulate high volumes of data.
• Highly responsive to customer requirements with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team, and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements for entities within the FTG.
• Prepare top-side journal entries for eliminations or adjustments from foreign GAAP to U.S. GAAP.
• Assist with ETG Corporate closing, reconcile intercompany accounts, and review subsidiary bank accounts.
• Drive process and reporting improvements while maintaining high accuracy.
• Provide financial and operational support to HEICO subsidiaries.
• Observe year-end inventory counts at HEICO subsidiaries.
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare schedules for internal, SEC reporting, and tax provision preparation.
• Perform other duties and ad-hoc projects as needed.

HEICO is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for its Flight Support Group based in Hollywood, Florida. This position reports directly to the Vice President, FTG Accounting & Finance.

In this position, the FTG Senior Accountant will likely:

• Support the preparation of the consolidated financial statements for entities within the FTG
• Prepare necessary top-sided journal entries for eliminations or adjustments of foreign GAAP to U.S. GAAP
• Assist with the ETG Corporate entity closing, including reconciliation of intercompany accounts and review of subsidiary bank account.
• Drive process and reporting improvements and standardization efforts while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Provide financial and operational support to the HEICO subsidiaries
• Observe the year-end physical inventory counts at the HEICO subsidiaries
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare supporting schedules for internal and external (SEC) reporting and for use in the preparation of the tax provision and tax return
• Perform/assist with other duties and special ad-hoc projects

Requirements/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Minimum of two to four years of progressive experience in financial accounting (public and/or industry)
• Strong general ledger experience a plus
• Knowledge in areas such as intercompany transactions, financial consolidation of multiple subsidiaries, and foreign exchange accounting a plus
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with subsidiary controllers and employees of all levels, including senior management
• Strong analytical and Excel skills; able to manipulate high volumes of data
• Highly responsive to customer requirements, with a high attention for detail and accuracy
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment
