Job summary

The Senior Accountant at ICAPE Group plays a key role in managing financial accounting activities within an industrial environment in Indianapolis. You will ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP, while supporting operational teams with insightful analysis.

Responsibilities include GL entries, reconciliations, bank and intercompany activities, and coordination with external auditors to prepare quarterly and annual statements in line with group standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of French is an advantage.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger activities: journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
• Process accounts receivable and accounts payable: invoices and payments, dunning, etc.
• Bookkeeping and monitoring of bank reconciliations and cash flow levels.
• Participate in payroll processing with an external service provider and record expense reports.
• Register and manage intercompany transactions and payments.
• Manage other accounting tasks and controls.

The Senior Accountant plays a key role in managing the financial accounting activities within an industrial environment. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting operational teams with financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Daily work

• Perform general ledger activities: journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
• Account receivables and payables: processing invoices and receipts, checking and recording payments, dunning, etc.
• Bank accounts: bookkeeping, preparation of bank reconciliations and monitoring of cash flow levels.
• Payroll accounts: participate in payroll processing in relation to an external service provider, recording and payment of expense reports.
• Intercompany transactions: registration, reciprocity check, and payments.
• Other accounts: bookkeeping and control.

Analysis and reporting

• Support the Managing Director in evaluating the company's performance and profitability.
• Prepare and review the quarterly accounting situation in accordance with Group standards.
• Prepare and review the annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP (with the support of an external accounting and tax firm).

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, ideally in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of French: an advantage

Technical Skills

• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, for example).

• Organizational skills, ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
