Job summary

CFS is seeking a Senior Accountant in California to maintain accurate ledgers, support month-end close, and oversee financial reporting. The role offers cross-functional exposure across accounting processes and opportunities to own key financial activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare trial balances and assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
• Maintain subsidiary ledgers and ensure financial data is accurate and properly supported.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
