Job summary

Ag Processing Inc is seeking an experienced accountant to tackle a range of accounting tasks across the organization. You will work with multiple divisions including merchandising, operations, project and fixed assets accounting, tax accounting, accounts payable, and plant accounting teams.

The role focuses on general ledger, monthly reconciliations, and financial reporting, with opportunities to contribute to accounting systems and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 2 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP required.
• Experience in agricultural production industry preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, deadlines, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Oracle GL knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial statements and operating reports for management and external agencies.
• Maintain financial records by entering journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Communicate effectively with other departments.
• Assist Accounting Manager with daily department functions.
• Assist in developing accounting systems and controls.
• Perform other special projects as assigned by management.
