Job summary

Ag Processing Inc seeks an experienced accountant to join our finance team. You will handle general ledger entries, reconciliations, and analysis, coordinating with multiple divisions across merchandising, operations, and plant accounting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Agricultural production industry experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Oracle GL knowledge desired but not required.
• High integrity and trust.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, distribute financial statements and operating reports.
• Maintain financial records by entering journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Communicate effectively with other departments.
• Assist the Accounting Manager in maintaining the daily functions of the department.
• Assist in developing accounting systems and controls.
• Perform other special projects and duties as assigned by management.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

2 years of accounting experience

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

Knowledge of the agricultural production industry preferred

Strong attention to detail, deadlines, planning, problem solving and decision-making skills

Strong written and oral communication skills

Education and Experience:
