Job summary

LHH (Atlanta) is partnering with a global manufacturing leader in North Atlanta to recruit a Senior Accountant. This role blends accounting, finance, and business partnering to drive value in a fast-growth environment.

Responsibilities include month-end close, reconciliations, budgeting, and supporting operational leaders with financial insights. A strong manufacturing background and ERP experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Ability to communicate financial information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support inventory accounting, including reconciliations, adjustments, and month-end activity.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and ensure transactions are properly recorded.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and assist with variance analysis.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Analyze actual financial results against budget and prior periods and help explain key variances.
• Partner with operational and business leaders to provide financial information and support decision-making.
• Support financial reporting, external audit requests, and other accounting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls.
• Utilize ERP and financial systems to improve accuracy, visibility, and efficiency.
• Assist with special projects and additional accounting and finance initiatives as the company continues to grow
