Job summary

LHH is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its Finance & Operations team in Atlanta. This hands-on role oversees monthly close, GAAP financial reporting, internal controls, and support for budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

You'll supervise accounting staff, partner with cross‑functional teams, and drive process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior supervision.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and senior leadership.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under deadline-driven conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Prepare and review financial reports and management analysis for leadership.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies and procedures.
• Support annual audit and tax preparation processes, working with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and other departments.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
