Job summary

Embark is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our outsourced accounting practice. You will deliver back-office fractional accounting services to diverse clients, ensuring high-quality monthly closes and financial reporting in line with U.S. GAAP.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in corporate accounting and/or Big 4/public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong Excel skills and advanced computer proficiency.
• Keen attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High sense of urgency, initiative, and ability to multitask.
• Operational accounting and monthly close experience.
• Experience with multiple general ledger systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage Intacct).
• Experience with close management programs (FloQast).
• Familiarity with AI tools (Claude, Gemini) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grow our outsourced accounting practice by delivering back-office, fractional accounting services.
• Provide superior client service and maintain Embark's lofty standards.
• Support clients across the country with monthly closes and financial reporting.
• Maintain and improve procedures, controls, and documentation.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure precise and timely deliverables.
