Job summary

Withum is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Business Enterprise Advisors (BEA) team with a hybrid-based schedule (3 days in the office) supporting Lincolnshire, IL; New York, NY; East Brunswick, NJ or Whippany, NJ offices. The BEA group provides tax, assurance and advisory services to private and public companies, delivering a single point of contact for business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field.
• CPA license preferred or working toward CPA certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a local or mid-sized CPA firm or tax consulting practice.
• Food & beverage industry experience is a plus.
• Experience with a high volume of financial statements with tight deadlines.
• Strong technical accounting background and staying current on key law changes.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and technical skills.
• Exceptional client service and communication with ability to develop client relationships.
• Strong training and mentoring skills and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, assess risks, and provide recommendations on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization.
• Identify bottlenecks and streamline processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Provide guidance, training and support to engagement staff and communicate with partners and managers.
• Review and compile financial statements and related reports.
• Collaborate with tax, assurance and accounting, and advisory groups to fully service clients.
• Stay current on technical and industry developments and assess impact on clients.
