Job summary

Vaco/Highspring is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team in Franklin Lakes, NJ. You will lead financial reporting, month-end close, and compliance efforts while driving process improvements and automation across domestic and international stakeholders.

You will collaborate with international teams, support auditors, and contribute to strategic projects. This role requires strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel, ERP experience, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Ideally a bachelor's degree in accounting/finance with strong accounting foundation.
• Experience with GAAP financial reporting and close processes is required.
• Proven ability to prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
• Experience with sales/use tax compliance is preferred.
• Interest in automation and AI to improve accounting operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Prepare internal and external financial reporting packages.
• Support lenders, auditors, and stakeholders with financial information.
• Manage accounting for financing and vendor partnership programs; monitor receivables.
• Coordinate with international subsidiaries and accounting teams on reporting.
• Participate in annual audits and bank field audits.
• Support controller with analyses and ad hoc reporting.
