Job summary

Zema Global Data Corporation is seeking a Senior Accountant to own month-end accruals, AP, fixed assets, payroll journals, allocations, and intercompany accounting across our multi-entity organization. You will help build scalable processes that support growth and ensure accurate financial reporting.

You’ll operate across the U.S. and other entities, partner with the Accounting Manager, and mentor the AP team as we rebuild the finance function. Remote work offered with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.
• 6–8 years progressive general accounting experience.
• Experience with AP automation platforms such as Ramp, Brex, Concur or similar.
• Solid AP process experience, including corporate cards and employee reimbursements.
• Experience with fixed assets, prepaids, accruals and intercompany accounting.
• Experience operating across multiple countries/currencies.
• Track record of building processes during organizational change and growth.
• Experience leading at least 1 direct report.
• CPA is required.
• Past experience in a PE-backed or acquisitive company.
• Experience implementing or transitioning AP automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly/quarterly accruals and GL across US, Canada, UK, and other entities.
• Manage accounts payable processes and vendor relationships.
• Own fixed assets accounting: additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules in NetSuite.
• Own prepaid expense schedules and amortization.
• Own intercompany accounting and allocations.
• Support the monthly close with Accounting Manager.
• Handle ad hoc general accounting projects, including integrating new entities.
• Mentor and guide AP staff as the team grows.
• Embrace AI tools like Claude in day-to-day workflow.

Position Overview

Zema Global is hiring a Senior Accountant to own month-end accruals, AP, fixed assets, payroll journals, allocations, and intercompany accounting across our growing, multi-entity company. This role will be formative in creating best-in-class processes that scale as the business expands. We need someone who has built processes and systems and has real experience navigating periods of significant change and growth.

You’ll be a key hire in a finance function being rebuilt from the ground up, with real ownership over how the day-to-day work gets done across a growing, multi-entity company.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own monthly/quarterly accruals and general ledger accounting across the U.S., Canada, UK, and other entities.
• Manage accounts payable processes and vendor relationships.
• Own fixed assets accounting: additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules in NetSuite.
• Own prepaid expense schedules and amortization.
• Own intercompany accounting and allocations.
• Support the monthly close process alongside the Accounting Manager.
• Take on ad hoc general accounting projects, including integrating newly acquired entities into GL processes.
• Mentor and guide AP support staff as the team builds out.
• Embrace AI tools like Claude into your day-to-day workflow.
