Steam Logistics is seeking a Senior Accountant – General Ledger responsible for owning the month-end close, GL accuracy, and bank reconciliations. You will partner with teams to deliver timely financial data and support audits while helping scale our accounting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and month-end close.
• Experience performing account and bank reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and enter journal entries during month-end close.
• Ensure transactions are coded accurately in the general ledger.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and support close.
• Manage daily bank reconciliations and related processes.
• Release vendor payments on a daily basis.
• Partner with internal teams to gather and interpret financial data.
• Support annual audit requests and work with external auditors.
• Help maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Identify ways to streamline and improve accounting processes.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and month-end close
• Experience performing account and bank reconciliations
