Job summary

Culligan Ultrapure, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant in Lombard, IL to support accurate financial reporting and month/year-end close. You will manage reconciliations, journal entries, audits, and SOX compliance in a growing organization.

The role requires a CPA or strong candidate with public company experience, U.S. GAAP expertise, and advanced Excel/ERP skills. Collaboration with auditors and internal teams will be essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Experience performing balance sheet reconciliations in a public company environment or as an audit associate.
• Experience supporting SOX compliance, including control documentation and audit support.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Ability to book journal entries accurately with minimal oversight.
• Ability to create and maintain detailed account reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record complex journal entries with minimal direction, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and company accounting policies.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet reconciliations, independently creating reconciliations from inception and resolving reconciling items.
• Ensure SOX compliance, including maintaining documentation of internal controls, supporting control testing, and addressing audit findings.
• Partner with internal and external auditors to facilitate quarterly reviews and annual audits, including preparation of audit-ready workpapers.
• Analyze financial results and provide detailed variance explanations for management reporting and disclosure.
• Identify, document, and recommend enhancements to internal controls and accounting processes.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
