Spanish Broadcasting Systems (SBS) seeks a Senior Accountant to analyze complex financial reports, prepare the company’s financial statements, and maintain the ledger for accuracy and compliance with US GAAP. The role supports SOX controls and works with external auditors.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s in accounting and at least four years of progressive accounting experience, with strong analytical and Excel skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong technical accounting and financial analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently or with others.

Responsabilités

• Oversee accounting and variance analysis.
• Close monthly books including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Analyze payrolls, benefits, commissions, contracts and vendor payments.
• Compare actual results to budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and ensure US GAAP compliance.
• Support SOX compliance and internal control design.
• Coordinate with external auditors and maintain schedules.
