Job summary

Motion Picture Industry Pension & Health Plans (MPI) seeks a Senior Accountant to join the Finance & Accounting team. You will complete detailed financial reporting for the Plans, ensure accuracy and compliance, and assist with annual audits.

The role supports a broad set of responsibilities, including consolidation, budgeting, reporting dashboards, and close processes. MPI offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field required.
Minimum 5–7 years of current experience in accounting or finance.
Knowledge of GAAP, accounting standards, and financial statements.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint; ERP familiarity.
Excellent communication and collaboration with all levels of staff, including senior management.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and analyze complex journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for high‑volume accounts.
Consolidate financial results across multiple entities and intercompany eliminations.
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements.
Develop reports and dashboards to improve visibility and decision making.
Assist with annual budget preparation and monthly budget vs actual analyses.
Support audits and Form 5500 filings as needed.
Coordinate with departments to maintain internal controls and procedures.
