Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage core accounting functions, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role emphasizes GAAP and internal controls and reports to support monthly and year-end closes.

This in-person position at the Administrative Office collaborates with departments to prepare audit schedules, variance analyses, and financial statements, ensuring deadlines are met and processes are efficient.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience with GAAP.
• Experience with D365 and Solver is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Prior nonprofit accounting experience preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and record timely general ledger entries, including adjustments and accruals.
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy and internal standards.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per GAAP.
• Support monthly and year-end closing processes and deadlines.
• Prepare and review financial reports, variance analyses, and budget-to-actual comparisons.
• Assist in audit schedules for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and support decision-making.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects as needed.
