Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Senior Accountant to support the monthly close, maintain GAAP compliance, and strengthen internal controls. This role will perform complex accounting tasks, assist with management analyses, and drive process improvements within the accounting function.

The candidate should have 3–5+ years of accounting experience (government contracting a plus) and a strong knowledge of GAAP. Deltek Costpoint experience is a plus, CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience; government contracting a plus.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls (SOX).
• Deltek Costpoint experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement schedules.
• Analyze financial data and identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support internal and external audit requirements with documentation and timely responses.
• Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new standards.
• Contribute to development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams including FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and operations.
• Assist with system enhancements, automation initiatives, and process simplification.
• Participate in special projects as needed.
