Job summary

Candescent, a technology company delivering Intelligent Banking experiences, is seeking an experienced accounting professional for Core Accounting & Close and Technical Accounting roles. The role is onsite in Melville, NY, with a base salary range of $80,000–$100,000 per year and requires 4–6+ years in accounting, strong US GAAP knowledge, and Advanced Excel skills.

You will partner across Finance, Legal, Sales, and Operations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience in SaaS/tech preferred.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Experience supporting audits and implementing internal controls.
• Advanced Excel proficiency essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities and reconciliations.
• Maintain general ledger in accordance with US GAAP and prepare audit schedules.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, Sales and Operations on contracts and spend.
• Identify process improvements and support ERP enhancements and automation.
