Job summary

Horizon Media Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist in the preparation of the company’s financial statements and to manage the month-end close for affiliate entities. You will report to the GL team and collaborate with FP&A to deliver accurate and timely reporting.

The role requires a strong grounding in GAAP, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, 4+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with Excel and NetSuite. CPA is highly favorable, but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and NetSuite a strong plus.
• CPA or equivalent highly favorable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing procedures for affiliate companies, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and communicate financial information to the FP&A and GL teams.
• Investigate accounting questions to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Support internal controls and process improvements.
