Kforce Inc. is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join our finance team in a hybrid role in Wisconsin.

You will prepare and analyze financial statements, manage budgets and forecasts, and drive cost optimization while ensuring GAAP compliance and timely tax filings. You will oversee accounts payable/receivable, maintain the general ledger, coordinate with auditors, and support internal controls with strong Excel and accounting software proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 2 years in a senior accounting role.
• Strong grasp of GAAP and tax regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Working conditions: Hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring timely GAAP compliance.
• Assist in developing and managing annual budgets and forecasts, optimizing costs.
• Conduct financial analyses to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring timely processing.
• Maintain general ledger, perform reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare accurate tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulations and staying updated on tax laws.
• Coordinate with external auditors for financial audits, prepare schedules, and manage inquiries.
• Manage financial systems and accounting software for data accuracy.
• Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures for compliance and internal controls.
