Job summary

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology seeks a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the Financial Affairs Department. You will prepare and analyze financial data to support regulatory filings and decision-making, coordinating audits and ensuring GAAP compliance.

The role also involves budget development, variance analysis, and providing financial guidance to budget managers across campus. A strong reader of complex documents and an ability to communicate clearly are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
• Five to seven years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
• Master’s degree and eight years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and related footnotes in GAAP.
• Coordinate audits and respond to inquiries from auditors.
• Develop and administer annual operating and capital budgets.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and post adjusting journal entries.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports and support internal controls.
• Provide financial information and guidance to budget managers across campus.
