Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in corporate environment.
• Strong US GAAP, general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations knowledge.
• Hands-on month-end close and financial reporting experience.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to investigate discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, data analysis).
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
• Excellent organizational and multi-priority to meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication across departments.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations; resolve discrepancies.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and reporting.
• Analyze financial activity, account balances, and variances for issues.
• Support franchise operations accounting and related reporting requirements.
• Maintain detailed accounting workpapers per internal controls and policies.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, and operations to resolve questions.
• Assist with audits and internal control documentation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy.
• Support special projects and accounting initiatives as needed.

Senior Franchise Accountant

Location: Remote

TalentBridge is partnering with an established, growing organization seeking a Senior Franchise Accountant to join its corporate accounting team.

This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting. The position will support accounting activities associated with a franchise-based business model while working closely with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, excellent analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to managing reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

• Own assigned general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Analyze financial activity, account balances, and variances to identify potential accounting issues.
• Support accounting activities associated with franchise operations, including related transactions and reporting requirements.
• Maintain detailed accounting workpapers and documentation in accordance with internal controls and company policies.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, and operations teams to resolve accounting questions and support business needs.
• Assist with audit requests, financial reporting, and internal control documentation.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiencies, and strengthen reporting accuracy.
• Support special projects and additional accounting initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate accounting environment.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Hands-on experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate accounting discrepancies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting franchise operations, multi-location businesses, or multi-entity accounting environments.
• Exposure to franchise-related accounting transactions and reporting.
• Oracle or Oracle Cloud experience.
• CPA designation or actively pursuing certification.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls, or audit support.
• Experience with accounting process improvements or automation initiatives.
