Job summary

Thames & Kosmos in Providence, RI is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial planning and accounting, combining hands-on accounting with analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to drive informed decision-making across the company.

The ideal candidate has GAAP expertise, advanced Excel capabilities, and the ability to manage month-end closes, reconcile accounts, and provide insightful financial analysis while collaborating across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and management reports.
• Assist with uploading annual budgets into SAP.
• Review and analyze financial results, highlighting variances and trends.
• Support management with business analysis to inform strategic decisions.
• Assist in developing financial models and cash flow forecasting tools.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Assist auditors and tax filings.
