Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. You will lead the month-end and year-end close, prepare GL reconciliations, and own fixed assets accounting with depreciation, disposals, and impairment analysis.

You will work across multiple subsidiaries, supporting internal reporting and audits while identifying process improvements. This is an individual contributor role in a fast-paced environment with potential for extended

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA preferred.
• Experience supporting general ledger accounting and close functions.
• Prior fixed assets accounting and depreciation processes required.
• Exposure to multi-subsidiary environments is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivots.
• Experience with accounting ERP systems; fixed asset modules preferred.
• Individual contributor role with no direct reports.
• Fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
• Extended hours may be required during close and audit periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform full month-end and year-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage fixed assets accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, transfers, and impairment analysis.
• Maintain fixed asset subledger alignment with the general ledger.
• Support periodic physical inventory and fixed asset audits.
• Support close activities across subsidiaries and ensure policy adherence.
• Prepare schedules, workpapers, and analyses for internal and external audits.
• Partner with stakeholders and auditors to respond to requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.
• Prepare, document, and maintain SOPs.
• Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analysis.
