Versova, a leading egg producer with operations across multiple states, seeks an experienced Accountant III to lead complex financial data delivery, improve policies, and mentor junior staff. The role emphasizes proactive analytics, strategic insights, and strong controls to support manufacturing and distribution activities.

Responsibilities include overseeing month-end closes, improving accrual and fixed asset practices, and delivering reports to senior management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with relevant experience.
4+ years of progressive accounting experience in a similar industry.
Expert-level Excel skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Experience with ERP systems implementation and optimization.
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead compliance efforts with federal, state, local, and organizational laws and best practices.
Oversee and optimize month-end close processes and complex account reconciliations.
Develop and implement advanced accrual methodologies and fixed asset strategies.
Lead inventory and feed accounting processes and improvements.
Conduct operational analysis, build financial models, and provide KPI-based insights.
Prepare comprehensive financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the accounting department.
