Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services seeks a hands-on Senior Accountant to support a lean corporate accounting team through Q3 close and the 10-Q reporting cycle. This interim role requires public-company and SEC reporting exposure and the ability to balance detailed day-to-day accounting work with financial reporting responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have public-company experience, strong reconciliations, month-end close, and familiarity with entities and equity activity.

Qualifications

• Public-company and SEC reporting experience required, including exposure to 10-Q and/or 10-K processes.
• Strong experience with account reconciliations, month-end close, journal entries, financial-reporting tie-outs, and legal-entity accounting.
• Comfortable working with multiple small corporate entities, primarily involving expense and equity activity.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities under quarterly reporting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day corporate accounting, including expense and credit-card activity.
• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations for several corporate legal entities.
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close, including review procedures and close documentation.
• Support financial-reporting tie-outs and the preparation of reporting schedules.
• Assist with subsidiary reporting packages, consolidation support, and financial reporting activities.
• Provide support during the Q3 close and 10-Q preparation process.
• Work closely with Accounting and Financial Reporting leadership in a lean, deadline-driven environment.
• Handle a mix of Senior Accountant- and Staff Accountant-level responsibilities as business needs require.

Job Title: Senior Accountant (Interim)

Location: Fully Remote (must work EST hours)

Pay Rate: $55-70/hour

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join a lean corporate accounting team and provide immediate support through Q3 close and the 10-Q reporting cycle. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with public-company and SEC reporting exposure who is comfortable balancing detailed day-to-day accounting work with financial reporting responsibilities.

• Comfortable working with multiple small corporate entities, primarily involving expense and equity activity.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities under quarterly reporting deadlines.
• Willing to be hands-on with detailed bookkeeping and corporate accounting responsibilities.
• CPA and public accounting experience are not required; however, candidates coming directly from public accounting will be considered if they have supported SEC registrants and public-company filings.
• Experience with Great Plains and OneStream strongly preferred; Workiva experience is a plus.
