Job summary

Axillon in Rockmart, Georgia is seeking a Senior Accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. The role partners with other departments to strengthen processes and provide meaningful insights for decision making.

You will oversee month-end close, analyze variances, and mentor staff accountants while supporting audits and regulatory filings. This onsite position requires deep accounting expertise and effective communication with leadership.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Required: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including financial reporting, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Preferred: multi-entity environment, audits and regulatory compliance experience.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Syteline, NetSuite or similar.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for accurate reporting.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare accruals, adjusting entries, and reconciliations.
• Support internal controls, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide insights from financial analysis to management.
