University of Miami on the UHealth campus is seeking an experienced Accountant 3 for a full-time hybrid role. You will maintain financial records and ensure accurate ledger entries, while preparing complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of relevant experience, strong GAAP knowledge and budgeting skills, and the ability to analyze data, mentor junior staff, and ensure compliance with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and budgeting.
• Ability to prepare financial records and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Analyze costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
• Oversees, mentors, and assists lower-level accountants.
• Adheres to University and unit-level policies and safeguards University assets.
• Creates financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders.
• Develops, prepares, and coordinates documentation of financial analysis projects.
