Job summary

JM Eagle is seeking a Sr. Accountant / Accounting Analyst to join our finance team in Los Angeles. You will analyze costs and financial results, review monthly plant expenses with the Production Department, and support month-end close and audits.

The role requires strong US GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel, and the ability to deliver clear reports to management. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, 4–6 years of accounting experience, and preferably a CPA.

Qualifications

• Strong critical thinking and understanding of basic accounting concepts.
• High-level knowledge of US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills: Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to quickly learn industry regulations and apply in reports.
• Comfortable preparing and delivering reports to management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze costs, financial results, trends, variances, and provide recommendations to management.
• Collaborate with Production Department to review monthly plant expenses.
• Perform month-end closing and related ad hoc analyses.
• Prepare journal entries for accruals in accordance with GAAP.
• Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Support annual external audit and tax filing requirements.
• Assist with improvements to internal policies and accounting systems.
