Job summary

Credit One Bank, N.A. in Las Vegas seeks a Senior Staff Accountant to contribute to the accurate and timely generation of financial results for the Treasury & Finance department.

You will record, classify, examine, and analyze data and records of financial transactions while meeting strict monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, independence, and the ability to mentor staff accountants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of work‑related experience required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger procedures.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong writing, reading, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience utilizing AI, workflow automation, and financial systems to optimize accounting operations.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot and vlookup) are preferred.
• NetSuite experience a Plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts, verifying accuracy, detecting exceptions, and addressing discrepancies.
• Prepare, review and post complex journal entries for month-end and year-end close.
• Make day-to-day decisions concerning the treatment of financial transactions.
• Review departmental expenditures monthly. Identify and addresses anomalies.
• Partner with other departments to resolve reconciling items and elevate potential issues to management.
• Responsible for overseeing and administration of various complex General Ledger accounts and accounting segments.
• Recommend solutions to complex problems.
• Perform fluctuation and variance analysis on financial data to explain changes and significant variances to management.
• Identify and recommend cost‑saving measures and opportunities to streamline workflow.
• Perform Ad hoc analysis as requested.
• Mentor and provide guidance to staff accountants.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
