Vertical Careers, Inc. seeks a Senior Accountant to join the Finance team in Glendale, CA. You will partner with the Accounting Manager to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and GAAP compliance in a fast-growing tech/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include month-end close, journal entries and reconciliations, cost accounting in a manufacturing setting, and audit support. You will mentor junior staff and drive process improvements to automate controls.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing or high-tech environment preferred.
• CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred.

Aufgaben

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules.
• Perform general ledger accounting, including fixed assets, prepaids, accruals, deferred revenue, and expense reporting.
• Conduct balance sheet and income statement analysis; investigate variances.
• Support cost accounting activities, including inventory accounting and analyses in manufacturing.
• Partner with operations to strengthen accounting processes and internal controls.
• Document and monitor internal controls; drive efficiency and automation.
• Assist with external audits and compliance requests with auditors.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Mentor and review junior accounting staff.
