Job summary

Family Office is seeking a Senior Accountant to own the day-to-day accounting for the family office and related entities. You will manage the full-cycle general ledger, month-end close, intercompany activity, and ensure clean, accurate financials across multiple entities.

This role requires strong US GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel, and experience with QuickBooks or NetSuite. On-site location in Shawnee, KS; exempt full-time; reports to Accounting Manager; cross-functional collaboration with CFO

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with full-cycle month-end close.
• Hands-on multi-entity accounting experience.
• Strong general-ledger and reconciliation skills; working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel; proficiency with QuickBooks or NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle general ledger: journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany activity.
• Execute the monthly close on a defined calendar — reconcile all balance-sheet accounts, book required accruals, and deliver a reconciled trial balance.
• Maintain separate, clean sets of books for each entity with proper intercompany eliminations.
• Build a rolling cash forecast across entities; manage cash operations and flag liquidity needs ahead of time.
• Prepare reporting packages and ad-hoc analysis for leadership; support year-end, tax, audits, and maintain internal controls.
