Waconia Public Schools in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee district accounting, financial reporting, audits, and compliance with UFARS, GAAP, GASB. You will support internal controls and the finance team.

The role requires at least three years of accounting or financial management experience with supervisory responsibilities; a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business is required, CPA preferred. Work hours are Monday to Friday 7:30am–4:00pm.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of progressively responsible accounting or financial management experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with UFARS, GAAP, GASB, and school-finance systems.

Responsabilités

• Oversee administration and maintenance of the District's accounting systems and financial reporting.
• Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with UFARS, GAAP, GASB and related regulations.
• Manage grant accounting, capital project accounting, fixed assets, and general ledger functions.
