Job summary

Osseo Area Schools is seeking a Special Projects Accountant to provide extensive accounting support and direction to the business, finance and operations departments. The role includes overseeing grants (building bonds, LTFM, and other federal/state grants), budgeting, and ensuring GAAP compliance.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in accounting and 3 years of accounting experience focused on budgeting and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant degree.
• Three years of proven success in accounting with an emphasis on budgeting and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership by aligning function with mission and core values.
• Oversee building bonds, LTFM, grants accounting and reporting.
• Assist grant managers with budgets, revenues, expenditures and year‑end processes.
• Coordinate accounting for grants and ensure compliance with district, state and federal guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain monthly summary reports of building bonds and LTFM revenues/expenditures.
• Support annual audit preparation and reconcile general ledger accounts.
