Job summary

Community Link seeks an accounting professional to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions in line with established standards and procedures. The role collaborates with the Director of Finance to maintain internal controls and efficient financial operations.

The position handles accounts receivable, general ledger, budgeting, and prepares financial reports, while resolving discrepancies and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Two years accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with accounting, word processing, database and spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

• With the Director of Finance, analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures such as bookkeeping, preparation of payrolls, cash receipts/deposits, flow of correspondence, filing, and other administrative services to maintain maximum internal controls.
• Performs daily accounting operations with regards to accounts receivable, general ledger, and budgeting.
• Regularly produces financial reports, adhering to proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
• Assumes responsibility for effectively researching, tracking and resolving accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies. Monitors agency charges and recommends more efficient purchasing/billing/collection methods.
• Protects organization’s reputation by keeping information confidential, aiding in the development of the agency by promoting volunteerism and promoting awareness to general public in order for Community Link to be a leader in programs and services.
