Job summary

Ralph Lauren seeks a Senior Accountant to join our Financial Operations team, focusing on cost element forecasting, variance analysis, and balance sheet integrity. You will own accounting for inventory and royalties, partner with various departments, and contribute to reporting solutions for inventory flows.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in accounting with cost or inventory emphasis, strong US GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel skills. A path toward leadership is encouraged.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of accounting experience with at least two years in cost accounting or a similar function.
• 1-2 years of forecasting experience.
• Bachelor's degree with Accounting concentration or similar.
• Experience within a US GAAP framework is valuable.
• Strong Excel and ERP reporting experience.
• CPA or CMA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business partners on royalty agreements to understand obligations and account for commitments monthly.
• Analyze cost element purchase price variance and forecast variances with inventory movements.
• Perform journal entries and ledger management in ERP/GL systems; support reclasses.
• Document new royalty agreements and projects impacting inventory flows.
• Support internal/external audits with data collection and validation.
• Identify process improvements or automation opportunities.
• Provide general accounting support to the team and meet deadlines.
