Job summary

Perfect Timing Personnel Services is hiring a Senior Accountant / Assistant Controller for a mission-driven nonprofit in San Francisco. You will oversee the accounting function, prepare financial statements, and support budgeting, audits, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP and prepare journal entries.
• Manage month-end close, reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Prepare schedules for audits and financial reporting.
